Question MSD Dashhawk PIDīs Question / Problem

Hello together,
had bought me some days ago the MSD Dashhawk OBD2 Reader to the notice of various PIDīs and other value. Unfortunately it does not indicate me the motor oil as well as the transmission oil temperature. According to manufacturer, he should can that however in a 2007 GT. All other goes so far.
Does someone have here experience with this device and/or can indicate these values?
My version is found 2.5.1
I unfortunately found here in the forum nothing in addition. Thank for your information!!!

Greetings,

Mario

Hello together,
is there really nobody in this forum, who knows the MSD Dashhawk?
Is it possible, that the GT 2007 has no Sensors for Oil and Automatic Transmission Temperature, and this is the Reason why the Dashhawk shows only N/A for this parameters?
Thanks for your help!!

Greetings, Mario

Hello together,
after a lot of different tryings, i bring the MSD Dashhawk 2 to work with my 2007 GT. I transferred different firmware to the system and resetted it sometimes. Now it works.

The starting of a never used or a firmware upgraded system is important! (This informations are not in the user manual)

My results: 1. Plug in the Dashhawk (No Ignition!!) / 2. Wait until screen comes with the message "VIN not Found, Car is not to identify" / 3. Press Enter / 4. Wait until the Car Menu is showed / 5. Select Ford and press enter / 6. Turn the key to ignition position (but dont start) / 7. Press two times enter. It should work!
These results are only from my experience. Maybe someone is also interesting in using this system.
Here are the list of the PIDīs, that my Dashhawk 2 is showing.

I know the DashHawk inside and out.
Your post got buried before I could see it...
Yep, mine shows the same PIDs.
Aint it Woondabar?
I followed the directions when I received my never used DashHawk
and didnt have any issues getting it to work properly right out
of the box.
You missed listing the OpenLoop/ClosedLoop
indicator in the lower right corner of the MSD's display...

Hi,
yes, youre right, i forgot. Thanks for your reply! Sad, that the Oil temperature is not shown or does yours show it? My Firmware is the latest 2.5.1 Seems, that not so many Stang drivers use this system or iīm wrong?
In the moment i read a lot about the different parameters and iīm thinking of whats interesting to show and set. A lot of options with 50 parameters.
Whats for you the most interesting interesting PIDīs (others than the temperatures, there standard)?
Iīm curious what you and other Dashhawk Users are setting up!
Also curious for your alert parameters.
My alert Parameter are: Cylinder Head: Stage 1 230F /2 240F /3 250F
Transmission Temp: Stage 1 189F / Stage 2 195F / Stage 3 212F
Trouble Codes: Stage 1 >=1 / Stage 2 >1 / Stage 3 >2
Ambient Air Temperature: Stage 1 < 37F / Stage 2 32F / Stage 3 26F
(For icy roads...I hope this gives not an horrible alarm terror )

Thanks for your reply!

Greetings from rainy Germany (Since 4 Weeks with only 2 Days of sunshine...yes its summer here )

Mario

PS: Excuse my bad english. Iīm not well trained in the moment. 30 Years ago with my school english....

To show parameters, the sensors need to be in place.
A quick look at the engine wiring diagram shows what s
ensors exsist and which ones dont.

Sadly there is not an oil pressure transducer or an oil
temperature transducer on the S197s.
The OEM oil pressure 'guage' is simply a trumped up
glorified idiot light with a pointer needle...

Yes, and the light should never shine...with the oil pressure sensor and engine oil would be nice. But we cant have all. Im happy, that it shows at least the tranny temperature. This temperature can go really high when you drive a mountain pass or drive in summer over the highway with 140 mls over 10 minutes, but not really funny all the times on bad roads (Sometimes possible on empty highways). So, now when the temperature goes high, i have the possibility to see whats going on and can adjust my driving style.
In the moment i have not the right feeling for the standard temperatures for adjusting the alerts. Today i drove on a higway 20 minutes constantly 100 mls and the tranny temperature was at 80° C / 176F (arrrg, i have to calculate all the time from Fahrenheit to celcius.)
There are a lot of different informations in different forums and threads. This makes it not easier.

Which other PIDīs do you let display?

These are mines:

Greetings, Mario
