I personally am not a big fan of flames, especially on the outside of the car, but those were done really well and they are very unique
I am the exact same way but when Sam at Stage 3 told me to relax and let me do something special, and if you dont like it Ill paint the caps yellow, I let the artist take control. And I was pleasantly pleased with how clean it came out. His work is unreal. Flames look alive and so realistic. I highly recommend him if anyone wants something custom done.

I'd say I'm only ok w/ less then 0.01% of airbrushed exterior work like this, and only when its tastefully done, and the work is of the highest quality, as yours is. Don't know if I'll ever see one I love tho.
