Default How much will the 2011s go for next summer?

Just curious next summer when they are preparing to bring in the 2012 Mustangs how much will the 2011 GTs you think go far?

Also what ball park will some of the used ones start going for next year?

Reason why I ask is that I hope to have enough saved up next year. Plus I can't afford a new car, and no way I would ever buy a new car due to they lose so much vaule.

lol used cars hold better value where you live? No car is a financial investment....Personally I'd rather buy new with a nice, long warranty than a car that someone beat on for a couple-few years... Not to mention what alot of people do in their cars....ick...

why are you so hell bent on getting rid of your 06? based off of your other posts it definitely sounds like you need to get your priorities straight still......

Well the 2011 a lot faster. I don't want to spend a few thousand to get a super charger just to make it faster. Rather just get a new or almost new car.

to the op I bought my 2006 GT Premium right before labor day 2008. Only had 8,200 miles on it and over a year and a half warranty left on it so it was like almost new anyways. The car was least to the first owner in April 2007.

Buying a car that's only a year old with just a few thousand miles on it that is thousands less than a new one is a better deal anyways. At least its broken in too. I cant see spending 35k on a 2011 GT Premium. Unless I'm ever rich I can't see spending that much on a car!

If you do go the new route, wait until the 2012 line-up 'Stangs are on the sales lots. The dealers will knock off thousands off of the 2011 GT stickers just to move them before the next fiscal year (1st of September). They want to move them because if they are still on the lot at 1st of Sept, they have to pay taxes on them for that new fiscal year.
Also, the primary concern is they want to rid their old stock for the 2012 models.

As far as how much a use 2011 GT will cost in July-August 2011? It's too early to tell. For all we know, they might hold their value damn well because the modular 5.0 Coyote is a hot seller.

Buying new is foolish I agree. I would much rather buy a slightly used same model year car with less than 10k miles on it and let the original buyer take the hit on the freight and depreciation. The problem with that is that I am picky and can usually never find what I want used. I looked EVERYWHERE for a used 2009 focus in manual and blue color for 6 months before I finally gave up and bought a 2010 when they were offering $3k incentives in March. The closest I came to finding what I wanted was a 2008 with 32k miles and the dealer wanted $11500 for it which is wayyyy more than it was worth and they refused to budge. I watched that same car for a few months after I bought mine and low and behold they dropped the price to $9500 because it wouldn't sell, just like I told them it wouldn't. I would be all over a 2011 used V6 vert if I could find one with the options that I wanted but that is the hard part...

They'll lose value just like every one year old car. What's the point of this thread? None of us can tell the future.

can you qualify for a loan? thought about getting an 11 v6?

no one knows what the 11s will be costing a year from now, it depends on what upgrades are made on the 2012MY. If its mostly carryover then they won't change all that much.

Well because the 2010s seemed to lose like 5-6k (in my area) when the 2011s came out, I would assume that (depending on how amazing the 2012 will be) the 2011s would be 3-4k less.

hes looking to get used now because his parents wont co-sign for him because they think he should spend the money elsewhere.... according to his first thread.
