I have a clarion nx409 in my stang. Works great, sounds even better. But after seeing another member install an ipad in place of the radio id trade mine in a second for that. Id recommend searching for the ipad install and checking that out. Tons of possibilities and they arent much more then a decent touch screen

 

redfire...which pioneer head unit is that? i'm ordering one through best buy and i want one with GPS that can work with the shaker 1000 system

The 3100 it has been replaced by the 3200 its not GPS capable, I didn't need it.

 

Just my 2 cents..a week ago i bought and installed a pioneer avh-p4200 using the pac c2r-frd1 adapter..got it from crutchfield and after having dealt with them since1983..thier service just gets better.As for the install..it was a breeze..the wiring harness took about 1 1/2 hours taking my time and the install about an hour..unit is all i hoped for and more..great ipod interface and function and it is upgradeable ..dvd works very well[was not a priority] but still its cool..im installed the shelcy amp and speaker/sub combo some months back..after the install this system really came to life..using the sub controls i was able to adjust the x-over on the door subs and wow..really sounds great..highly recd this unit and of course crutchfield..hope this helps

 

just purchased a Kenwood DNX6160 and install is friday, i'll keep you posted.
