Heavy Clutch

Heavy Clutch
I don't know if this has been talked about or not, but here we go.
Is it normal for the clutch of the 2005 V6 Mustang to have such a heavy clutch? It seems like it takes quite a bit of effort to push it all the way in. Most of my friends drive manuals, and they get in my car give the clutch a hard time.
I just want to know if I need to have it looked at.
Thanks in advance.

The clutch in my '07 is a bit heavier than other car cars I've owned but not substantially. I believe our clutches are considered high performance and that may have something to do with it. But if yours seems overly heavy in comparison, have it looked at.

My 07 mustang stock clutch was really heavy. Everyone had a hard time pushing it in, but people told me it was normal. I bought it in feb this year with about 65k miles. My clutch went out in august. I replaced the clutch with the centerforce dual friction clutch and replaced the slave cylinder and bearing. After about $1,000 the clutch it so easy to press and shifts so much smoother and is a lot more fun to drive. So maybe it was going out or maybe it was normal. But that was mu experience with a heavy clutch.
