Default Dumb spoiler questions?

Would a spoiler be a useful addition to the car if you are gonna be driving 100+ consistently? I am moving to Germany and right now the car has no spoiler, but I really want to get another ducktail to put on.

I know I need hoodpins too, they are on the to do list. But there goes the 4.10's, I will be sticking with the 3.31's

Yea, for sure leave the 3.31's in there. Spoiler won't do anything for the S197 brick-special except perhaps slow you down
Take your time getting used to the autobahn my friend. It will be an education and you'll take a while before you realise people aren't trying to race you, they are simply driving normally.
Live in your mirrors and keep right unless overtaking. Driving in Germany is another level of awareness generally, they are very well disciplined in their cars, they put most other drivers to shame.

Oh I know, I lived there from 2000-2006. Only difference was I had a ford explorer and then an f150. Fastest car I had was my "beater" 86 3 series. Man I loved that car.

I thought people said hood shake was bad above 100, but if pins aren't needed, then I aint gonna get them.

He is right about the german drivers, I have been a few times because i have family over there. on the autobahn definitely ALWAYS stay right unless your passing someone.

P.S. why are you going to be driving 100+ MPH all the time? talk about wasting gas.... you need to know one thing, in German, Gas is WAAAAAAAY more expensive, here are the prices...

Germany Frankfurt $5.57/gallon
France Paris $5.54/gallon

I'll be getting gas at US prices on base. I am gonna get a govt. job over there. Gonna make use of all my army time to help get a civilian job. So wasting gas wont be any worse than it is over here.

IMO, hood shake with the OEM Ford hood with OEM GT scoop is terrible above 100 mph. It makes me wish I had hood pins when I drive that fast. I would recommend getting some for your car as I know you will maintain over 100 mph speeds on the Autobahn.

*It's REALLY bad driving on long bridges over the water where crosswinds can generate greater than 25 mph winds. I had a crosswind on a bridge make my OEM hood @ (driving 80 mph) look like it was about to rip away. Hood pins needed for peace of mind!

Have fun on that autobahn and take advantage of having one of the best tracks in the world in your backyard!

One of these years I'm going to order a new M3 and take European delivery!

This time I am gonna take advantage of the 'Ring and take my car there. If for no other reason, at least I can say I did it.
