Default battery question

The owner before me put a carquest battery that says, " specially engineered for European vehicles." Is this safe for my car? thanks

12 volts is 12 volts. Just check the CCA rating against what the OM says. If it's cranking well, you should be ok but with cooler weather on the way it's better to be safe than sorry.

But if your radio is speaking French, you're screwed.

Some European batteries are in different group numbers than the American numbers. As long as it's 12V and fits your battery tray you should be ok.

no. it might try to bum-rush your neighbors house, or surrender at every cold snap.

You are safe. It might be a good idea to replace it though if you don't know the history. Especially as winter is coming and a dead battery can sucketh big time in the snow

its only 2 years old.. or at least the previous owner said it was. If it says made for european cars, why would someone put it into an american car though
