The 5.0 vs. 4.6 bigotry is worse than the original 4.6 vs. 4.0 bigotry!!! Funny how the 2010 was the best Mustang Ford had built ... but now that the 2011 is out it's a piece of crap in some folks eyes ....

I need to go buy a GT500 so I can rank on all these lowly 5.0 owners!!!!

Stop being drama queens. The simple fact is that the performance of the 2010 GT is just too close in comparison to the performance of the 2011 V6. Throw in the MASSIVELY better fuel mileage of the 2011 V6 and the fact that it is $5k cheaper then you would seriously have to be out of your mind to pay that much more for a 2010 GT over a 2011 V6. But hey, if you like the sound of the pipes and the V8 that much more to be willing to spend an extra $5k to have it then by all means have at it. Nobody said the 2010 was a POS because we all know it most certainly is not. I don't like the fact that I bought a 2010 with the old motor either and I still love my car but at least I am not delusional enough to think that it shouldn't be sold for a pretty penny less than a new V6 with the better motor. Times change fellas and so does technology and what is new today is obsolete tomorrow. That's just the way it is.

It's okay, I remember when i first joined this forum in 2004, the 99-04 GT was a godsend and the 03/04 cobra was worshipped as the greatest thing ever. When the 05s came out, suddenly the 99-04 mustangs weren't " real mustangs" anymore.

Are all these 2011 GT folks gonna be crying if Ford adds another 40HP with Direct Injection ..... we know it's coming because the bosses are already in the heads and Ford will need to leapfrog any updates to the Camaro SS. Just like us 2010 owners KNEW the 5.0 was coming ... but we didn't care ... and the 5.0 guys apparently don't care either ...

Funny think about the performance being so close...is that when you actually drive both cars back to back (2010V8 vs 2011 V6)..it isn't really that close. Torque makes all the difference outta the hole

I don't want to upset anyone here but if your a male plan on purchasing a Mustang, buy a GT. The GT's sound alone is worth it to me. You can't get a v6 to sound that way.

We are talking 2010 GT to 2011 GT. Nobody was mentioning 2011 V6. Personally for my money.... I would still buy a V8 over a V6. For me at least, the stang is my week-end play toy so I could care less about the gas mileage because my 2010 got pretty good mileage and so does the 2011 GT.

If my option were a well optioned 2010 GT vs a 2011 GT Deluxe.... I'm still taking the 2010. In fact I am looking at a 2010 GT Vert Prem for $29K that MSRP was $42k.

As I already stated...this is my opinion. Others will disagree

If you get a GT vert for 29 you are going to love that car!

The V6 will never have the potential of the 4.6L V8. Thats just the way it is. I could have never bought a V6.
