keep what you got IMO. Or sell it outright and pocket a few $$$. You are going to be running probably $700+ in a new car payment + gas + higher insurance rates.
not to mention the *** raping you'll take on the trade for both cars...ain't worth it
5.0 is cool...but you have a wicked machine already
that ain't funny...it's happened to me last year
less than 30 mph impact

I think you left out a huge part of the equation. You're making payments on both present vehicles, but didn't mention what's left on the loans. If one, or both are upside down, the price of that new one could really get out of site.
I would love either of the new Mustangs, V-6 or GT. But I know how lucky I am where I'm at. I have an '09 Mustang convertible I have fun with in the summer, but also have an '01 Focus to drive in the winter, or when the weather is crappy. The best part is both cars are paid for. As much as I wanted to run out and buy one of the S197's when they came out, I restrained myself until I had most of the money saved up. Then I patiently watched for a late model, low mileage used one, and finally found one. The like new used one cost about 1/3 less than a brand new one. In my case, I was more interested in a convertible then a GT. Who knows I might do something crazy (X-charger) after the warranty is out, but in the mean time, I still get a big grin on my face, every time I back it out of the garage. And part of the big grin is knowing I don't have to write out a big check to the bank every month. Just my 2 cents.....

OP, I'd keep the car. What you've got is already great, and considering you've already got payments on the cars you have, buying a new one doesn't seem like a brilliant idea.
If you want the 5.0 that bad, you could always do an engine swap

So guys im really at a crossroads right now. But just to give some background
Two years ago I became the proud owner of a 2005 GT, its been nothing but great times and smooth sailing. Driving the car to 58k miles now, I was reminded this morning of how much I love it considering during the week I drive a 2008 Ford Focus to save on the gas
Either way, I pay about 400ish on the Mustang and about 190 on the Focus. Its not too bad at all for me to manage. So in total about 600 a month in car payments.
My mustang has full suspension, Novi2200, dynoed @ 496rwhp, and is an absolute ground pounder. I have no complaints.
The Focus, is ...well a Focus. Quiet, smooth riding, and gets about 40mpgs lol
What im considering doing is trading in both cars, for a 2011 5.0, brand new.
What would you guys do? Should I? Or am I making a mistake?

Because your car looks a lot like mine. =)
