Will do.
I have them painted and they look great... but i noticed they scratch easy.
So since I did not put a flat clearcoat on them within an hr of paining
I have to wait 48hrs before I can clear coat them.
I will do it Sunday morning and have them installed that afternoon.

I'll post pics.

P.S.
I tried painting them at first with this paint called Krylon Fusion.
It was supposed to be awesome with plastic.
DONT use this product on the vents if you plan on painting them.
I used it and the product flat out does not want to stay or bond well.
It says no sanding or priming required but I sanded them just in case.
The paint still did not want to stay on.
What's even more of a pain if you want to clear coat them you have to use the
FUSION clear coat. Other clears eat through the Krylon fusion paint. Apparantly it is weak
paint. The clear coat is HARD to find too for some reason.

Not sure why but it does not seem to like whatever plastic the vents are
made of. I sanded them again and used a Model Enamel paint.
Works much better.

My camera wont do video. I just have my old one.
My new one got um... destroyed.

Best way is face the vent assembly down. you will see two plastic tabs
that are chrome on each side. use your finger nails to pull the tabs back, and push
the chrome ring forward or if you use your thumbs... you will be pulling them.
You will hear and see one side click and come out... do not pull the entire chrome ring off yet... go to the other side and do the same thing with those tabs.

The tabs are pretty tight and there's not much space to grab inside.
So have some fingernails when you do it or use a flat head screwdriver.

BE GENTLE. The tabs are plastic and can break.
You will know where the tabs are because on each side of the ring there is a little section that has two little plugs. the tabs are NOT that plug.... they are on both the right and left side of the plugs.

Ok see the two dots? Those are the plugs.
Do NOT mess with those.
Below those... just to the right and left are two chrome
tabs. you pull these tabs out slightly with your finger nails or a flat head and then pull the ring out one
side at a time. AGAIN BE GENTLE and do not break the tabs.

Remember there are FOUR tabs in all. The other side of the vent assembly looks the same.

When you remove the vents from the console....
on the far drivers side and passenger side... I recommend using one hand
to hold on the console. Sometimes when you pull these side vents
the whole console will come out a little on each side.

Mine did that on the drivers side.
No big deal you just snap it back in but when it first happens
it can scare the crap outta you.

Post up some pics when they are done -- this is what mine look like, I used flat clear on the chrome trim as well as flat black on the vents themselves - plus did the gauge surround in flat clear and changed to white faces on the gauges. With a convertible the chrome glares when the sun is behind you with the top down.

And I started the project when I put the wideband and boost/vacuum in the Roush pods

Well, I didn't have time to attampt to pull out my own vents this morning. I got a new "toy" this morning, a new chain saw, so I spent my whole morning cutting down trees; mostly scrub and nuisance saplings, but they ahd to be eliminated.

After I shower and have lunch, I am going to give it a try. I hope I can see the tabs you all are looking at.,
