Default Engine stops while driving

Ok guys another problem today...

I was driving down the road and my engine just stopped out of nowhere. I tried to start it right away, but it wouldn't work. After a few minutes, it started and I drove to an Autozone nearby for a battery test. The battery was 100%(replaced last month), but he said the alternator had a low output. I tried to drive without A/C, radio, and lights, but the same thing happened on the way home, and I barely rolled it into a Ford dealership. All I get is a check engine light. They'll be doing a diagnostic in the morning...

All the belts spin and the engine is so close to turning over, but it just doesn't make it unless I give the car a 20-30 min break. Did I toast the alternator with all the new stuff (nav, sub, gauges, supercharger)? Anyone else have this problem?

Alloy, you always seem to fail man. Hopefully it's nothing serious.

Considering the chronic issues with the charging system (alternator and battery) in our S197's, I can't say I'm not terribly surprised. I doubt any of your electronics would have been the cause of failure on any HEALTHY electrical system but one that was operating below specs would simply fail sooner from the extra demand. Let us know what the stealer comes up with.

How so? I ran two 10s back there for a few months and a 12 for a month or so with no problems.

When you say you ran them, was this 100% amp draw for the full 12 months
or 24 hours times 30 times 12 =s 8640 hours?
Or just intermittent amperage draw lets say for just the bass hits?
Can you translate the actual bass hits into a real hour clock to
give me a real indication of how much amperage you were really drawing
for this 12 months period. What was the amplifies duty cycle, roughly?
10" subs means nothing to me as to amperage draw on the alternator.
Whats the amperage draw of the SUBWOOFER AMPLIFIER (brand, model #??)

Just got off the phone with the dealership. They said the alternator voltage is fine. The car starts as of now. Something is cutting it off though. He said a diode in the alternator could be bad, but the engine tech can't find the problem. The electrician won't be in until Monday. I can wait or I can try to drive the car home from the dealership (5-7 mins) and go from there.
