C'mon guys I need advice on what I should do now that I know the problem!

Cherokee Ford quoted me $466, which would be a lot more reasonable.
Thats 2 miles from my house, when you come up let me know.

Ok here's what I did -

Bought the alternator from the dealership - $240 with core exchange (6R3Z*10346*ARM: ALT138)

Drove the car back to my apartment; thankfully I made it.

I wasn't about to pay $336 for install at this dealership, and I don't really want to pay the $250 at Cherokee Ford. MV said they could do it for $90 in less than an hour, but I can't drive the car that far. So here I am. Yeah, Redfire I drive through Towne Lake all the time.

Today, my friend and I installed the new alternator in like 30 minutes. It's a really straightforward install. Drove down to an Autozone, the battery was good and the alternator was good also (14.3 V) at idle. The car drives fine, so we'll see how it goes from here.

Well good to know my radar detector's batt display is accurate, it reads usually around 14.2-14.4

Hey Eddie (it's Eddie right?),

Do you have an 8.8 or T-Lock with gears?
