They can print what they want... another intimidation tactic aimed at the panty wearing public. I'd think if Ford attempted to stand by that they'd lose. Of course, the service mangler can always point to it when dealing with the panties...
P.S. My renters always pay no later than the 25th.
If anybody can find the hidden verbiage in the owner's manual, please point it out to me. I've attached the 2011 manual to this thread. The only thing I found was that mixing wrong fluids would void your warranty and running the wrong air filter would void your warranty.

I just went through the actual supplemental warranty guide. Here's what it says verbatim:
This still reads to me that they have to prove that your mods caused the failure.
Damage Caused by Alteration or Modification
The New Vehicle Limited Warranty does not cover any damage caused by:
• alterations or modifications of the vehicle, including the body, chassis,
or components, after the vehicle leaves the control of Ford Motor
Company
• tampering with the vehicle, tampering with the emissions systems or
with the other parts that affect these systems (for example, but not
limited to exhaust and intake systems)
• the installation or use of a non-Ford Motor Company part (other than
a certified emissions part) or any part (Ford or non-Ford) designed
for off-road use only installed after the vehicle leaves the control of
Ford Motor Company, if the installed part fails or causes a Ford part
to fail. Examples include, but are not limited to lift kits, oversized
tires, roll bars, cellular phones, alarm systems, automatic starting
systems and performance-enhancing powertrain components or
software and performance ‘‘chips’’

It is in there, and I will get a copy of it for you guys. Why so hard to believe, ask any GTR owner how fickle a dealer a manufacturer will be with doing ANYTHING to the car.
It is not a conspiracy, simply an evolution of the times. Hell, the new coyote's are 11:1 compression - you can bet your *** Ford and the dealerships are worried about people throwing FI on them like the norm for the S197's.
I was just giving you a heads up - believe it or not - I really don't care. Anyone who knows me on this forum knows how I feel about warranties anyway - I feel if you have any worry about a warranty at all, you shouldn't have bought a muscle car - you should have bought a KIA and you definitely have no business on a modding forum - but that's just my opinion and I know a lot of guys do sweat warranty so I was just giving you a heads up - not opening up to a debate. Go tune your car and lift a head and go to the dealer and see what happens for yourself - I really don't care.
The new motors are pretty bad *** - I just watched one run 10.60's bone stock with a KB at 8 psi this past weekend - pretty damn impressive but Ford is not behind any modding anymore, that is just a fact.
BTW: here is what my little ole' 4.6 3V ran over the weekend...

Yeah - I don't know crap about modding mustangs...lol

Thanks for posting that. It doesn't read any different than the law. The key words are caused by. I don't have a dog in this fight anyway. I've replaced every part in my powertrain except for the axles, tubes, and housing. I figure if anything I've done causes any of my remaining stock parts to fail (like breaking an axle) I'll man up and take responsibility for it.
