When you installed your CAI and they made you relocate the power steering container, did anyone get a kink in the line like this? I need help cause my powersteering gets tight sometimes and I was wondering if this is the cause

I installed it a few months ago, and this is exactly how it is showed in the diagram (where its supposed to be)... It seems that the hose is a few inches too long, should I cut an inch off?

I'm surprised that the diagram didn't say to cut the stock tubing, if it seems too long. However, if you're positive that you installed it the correct way, than there shouldn't be a reason you can't cut it. If for whatever reason you need to extend it again, you can buy it at NAPA for a few dollars.

Yeah I think I am going to cut it, cause it seems to be about 2 - 3 inches too long and I am positive everything is in right. My powersteering gets stiff at idle, but when the rps are higher than idle it goes back to normal, so I think its the kink.

I would trim the hose so there isn't a kink in it.

What CAI is this?

In the photo it looks like it's the heat shield that is causing the trouble.
If it is causing that much of a squeeze I'd ditch it for a different shield.

mudflap -- yeah I am going to do that first thing tomorrow after work hopefully it resolves my issue.

blacksmoke -- its the jlt, and I dont think its the heat shield because it happened before I even installed it, and it looks to be toutching in the picture but its not. The hose is just way too long
