New Mustang Owners - What Was Your Previous Car?
#371
won't be the first car i regret selling (along with my GXP coupe and ITR)! but i'm expecting my first kid in march, and with the racing season over and a cold, wet winter on the way up here in the PNW, it was an obvious choice. to be completely honest, the 5.0 is a helluva lot better to manage day-to-day; i think that goes without saying though

1994 Chevy Cheyanne Custom- First car
1996 Buick Regal (purple)- Mom's car, was told that if I could drive this for a year I could get a Trans Am. Apparently I was the only one that remembered the Trans Am part of that conversation.
1998 GMC Sonoma SLS- first new car and first 5 speed. Fun little truck wish I had kept it, it had a I4 but it was so light that it was enough to get around town.
2000 Mitsubishi Montero Sport LS- Being a single college student I thought I needed an SUV for some reason.
1989 Corvette A4- first sports car owned it for 9 years went through 2 motors and 2 transmissions 1 cheap paint job and many busted knuckles but good memories. I learned how to wrench on this car because I refused to pay the "Corvette Tax" that most shops charged.
2002 Chevy Trailblazer- still have this beast, BEST vehicle I have owned, been with me through thick and thin and has never let me down. Don't plan on ever getting rid of it, he has some battle scars, but hey...scars are cool right???
2007 Mustang GT- sold the Vette for this and never looked back. Was a great car and I really enjoyed it.
2013 Mustang GT- didn't plan on getting this one but I test drove it one day and when I woke up I had it in the drive way, not sure what happened.

1972 Nova SS show car, totally restored by yours truly. Over the 4 years I had it, it won 6 trophy's for first / second place. ZZ4 crate with Hot cam, hooker headers, FI, 3:73 posi, 5 speed Richmond super street and much much more. 460HP at the crank. http://w2ner.com/nova.htm
Check out some others I had http://w2ner.com/oldride.html

Depends how you look at it. My first steed was a 2010 GT premium and before that I had a Nissan Altima coupe. Loved my 2010 GT but the gas mileage was nasty (17-18mpg at best) so I got my 2006 4L in March. Kinda miss the 4.6 sometimes but not enough to want it back as a DD. Driving 400 miles per week for work my '06 is a better fit.
The only thing I miss about my Altima was the keyless ignition...wish I could have that in a Mustang. 2015 maybe? *hopes*

Forgot to add some pics. Don't laugh...okay laugh. But it was mine dammit, and I didn't (don't) care what anyone thought and that Dodge has some great memories, definitely a big comfortable roadtrip car!
18" Motegi rims, black taillights, black headlight housing, black "Intrepid" lettering, CAI, bored TB, true dual Flowmaster exhaust, thicker swaybars, tinted windows, Charger spoiler, Infinity speakers, Pioneer radio.
I miss it just looking at it, I'd probably still be driving it if I hadn't wrecked it, I had some big (well, they seemed big at the time, miniscule compared to the Mustang) plans for it.
