Default 05-09 Stock Heads Max HP

So, little argument on a different forum. I am being told that the Stock heads on an 05+ Mustang GT won't fail even with 800 RWHP.

Can anyone that has knowledge on the heads chime in? I have read that after 500 RWHP, the Retainers go bad, and in some cases, a Valve can be bent, etc.

So, what are the safely rated at before you should replace the valve material, port the heads, etc.?

Thanks for the help!

It partially depends on the RPM you're running. After a certain RPM, you'll experience valve float and can risk damaging the engine. That isn't so much a HP thing though. I haven't heard of retainers going bad though and have certainly seen a few 500+rwhp stangs out there on stock heads. That isn't to say that they wouldn't be better off with aftermarket heads though.
