Default 2010-2011 V6 Lowering Springs

For all you 2010-2011 V6 owners who have lowered your car...

What company did you go with?

I know of eibach, steeda, H&R, ford racing

I'm going to be lowering my V6 on friday no matter what, My car is going to be in a music video on sat and sunday so i know this is short noticed but im trying to decide which company to go with...

Do you guys have any suggestions on Drop and company? any pro's and con's from the ones you used?

all notes, help, suggestions, and concerns are very appreciated!

thanks guys!

I thought you wanted a lift kit to make it even more 4x4

Well I don't see how being a V6 matters on getting it lowered, but anyway just go with a drop you're comfortable with. I personally only want to do an Eibach pro kit, but if you want to go lower go with the H&R super sports. Good luck getting everything done by Friday

Well they do have a difference, aren't the weights different for the sixxer and the V8? In which case if you put V8 springs on a sixxer, the ride would likely be stiffer since there's less weight to compensate for.

There is a 150lb difference with most of that coming off the front wheels of the V6. But that doesn't change the spring rates. The spring will compress less but you're looking at less than a 10% difference.

OP, given the short time frame, any springs designed for the Mustang will do. If you don't like the ride later, get new ones. I would think that the priority would be getting a set, any set. At $250 and a couple of hours work, it's not that expensive (you are getting paid to have them use your car right?). There are many suppliers in SoCal. Just drive over and have them do it.

BTW, make certain the production company has insurance to cover any potential damage to your car (note: this could be an "umbrella" policy). If they don't, leave immediately. You don't know what they're planning on doing once the shoot begins. And, take a complete set of detailed photos of the car to document the condition prior to the shoot, inside and out. When the paint is scuffed, or they spill Four Loco on the hood, you'll be able to get it repainted without argument. To them, you're car is a prop, while to you, it's your baby.

My bad, I wasn't aware the weight difference was so little actually. My apologies for my stupidity
