Wow, glad to know you weren't in the car while the accident occured. You have good insurance and you are getting screwed (by a drunken idiot) because she has horrible insurance. That's just rediculous!!
Maybe, time to upgrade to a GT??!!! ;-)
Good luck with everything!

WOW. More power to you man. I can't imagine how much work and skill it will take to fix that car.

At some point it is easier to buy a new used complete driver
instead of matching front and rear halves...
Huh, pascal?
Maybe make a trailer out of the rear halfsies...

Great, you must LOG-IN to FACEPLANT just to view the photos.

No one uses FacePlant anymore.
Thats old news.

Clipping cars was tolerated a few years back, but due to unskilled shops, Insurance Cies won't go for it anymore because they got tired of getting sued.

If you know what you're doing, it's a durable repair and the car becomes actually stronger since you have to weld braces inside the rockers and roof line where you connect the 2 halves.
You also gain a lot of time because it's a 1 1/2 day job before painting...

It just seems like its way more risk and work than its worth. I think its more logical to sell the salvage car for $4k or more and buying another car.

I'm sure the OP can find another black S197 v6.

I agree mostly bmr. I tried to sell the car from may until last month. Guess it wasnt a hot item by me. and all the salvage yards didnt want to give me more than a grand for it. Thankfully since its the family body shop im not paying labor. And now i get to choose my color scheme. NO MORE BLACK! haha .

I like how instead of removing the windshield, they just broke it across the middle

Im sorry dude, but the car will never be, feel, or drive the same. I hope for your sake it does but I was just in an accident about 8 months ago and I went through a 6 month fight with my insurence saying the car doesnt drive right. In the end the car got totaled and the cost for repairs would have been 28,000+ if they replaced the trans (and who knows if that would have even fixed it) and the car was 33g's brand new. I guess it was worth it because im getting myself a 2011 5.0 now

Best of luck to ya, I hope it all works out and the car feels brand new again.
