Have you ever seen how one of these cars are even built? They are just a bunch of small pieces of sheet metal SPOT welded together. If you take your time and do it correctly, the chassis will be stronger than than before.

Test fitting of the two pieces has begun. To my surprise all the spot welds lined right up. after a bunch of measurements we made some pilot holes. Doors bolted on to check. Everything fit perfect.
I dont know about air leaks but from what i could see the door lines were back to stock. My brother is a crazy perfectionist so if the seams dont look right he will fix it til its right. I was in shock that after bolting the doors up the first shut was perfect. both sides were the same. needless to say i had a nice smile on my face. lol. Theres plenty of pics to come. Im gonna keep them coming all the way through the paint process.
