Default Quick question...

So my Mustang is an automatic. Now I have a few questions about using the manual shifter. First, you only have to let off the gas to shift when you are about to red line, correct? I saw the answer to this somewhere but dont remember the answer. Then, once I reach third and shift to 4th (drive) the car will just down shift by itself, right?

Thanks for the help

I am not sure if its only at redline but I let off the gas for a second anyway, cause with my tune if you dont the car will jerk forward which can get annoying. Also yes if you go from third to 4th (D) it will downshift automatically.

Don't forget about OD which is 5th gear, but yes, once you set it on D, the car will go back to automatic programming. It will use 5th gear depending if you turned OD back on.
