According to AM, the stack racing louvers are attached with 3M tape only. Not sure if I trust it to hold.

The Roush louvers are easily unscrewed for window cleaning. Once the stack racing ones are on, they are on. Drove through high cross-winds on the highway, the Roush louvers rattled but they still held on strong. It was enough wind to make the hood flutter like crazy going 70 mph.

Either way, your choice. I prefer the Roush brand.

Do you know how many louvers are attached with 3M tape only and hold just fine?
As a matter of fact.... MOST are held with 3M only.

3M holding them is a NON issue. Clean the area properly before installation and the 3M will
hold fine.

As long as the louvers are moulded to fit the body well.
That was the problem with the Xenon's.
I got a pair that did not fit the body well.

HAHA, looks like american muscle had the Roush louvers re-tooled to be stick on instead of bolt on. If you don't want to see the louver screws that attach the Roush louvers to the mounting brackets, go with AM's. If you want to be able to remove the louver to clean the window, go with Roush's.

As said it's all about how the paint is prep'd before hand. Also, use 3M adhesive promoter and you'll never have an issue with them falling off.

I also have the wheelskin louvers. The 3M tape has been on for over 3 years and they're as secure as the day I installed them. It's ALL in the prep. Follow the instuctions to the L E T T E R.

It seems everyone orders the Roush ones.
There are 69 customer pics of the Roush and like 3 of the other.
Anybody know if the Roush are the ones to buy????????
Yea, I know.
The first ones linked to are cheapos that mount on the
surface with 3M emblem tape. Probably plastic in construction.
The second set from Roush are quality construction and
mount totally different. See pics below.
Get the Roush and call it a day.

But the SHR Flush Mount Louvers are the King Of The Mountain
round these here parts...

An Idiot can do it with the supplied paper templates
and highly detailed instructions.

You might want to get the stainless steel hardware like
I did. The ones supplied by Roush tend to rust after a while.
I also touch-up painted mine to match the body color.
Be sure and use the 3M 4298 Adhesion Promoter as Roush
recommends and not the 70% rubbing alcohol like so many do...

Same here and mine have been on for a year and a half. Paint match is spot on.

I appreciate all the great replys. I'm leaning toward the Roush ones for $174.99 and I'll have them painted when the car is in the shop in two weeks. Anyone got any keep tips for the installation? I'll follow the instructions to the letter but pass on any wisdom you have!!
