Default Are the Ford racing tuners any good?

Just wondering. Ford Racing sells performance packages. They seem kinda high priced though.

Are the Brenspeeds and Bamachips ones better?

Forget the ford tuner and CAI, just go aftermarket and get a bama or brenspeed tune with it. Much more worthwhile in both performance gains and price.

Now get to it and enjoy the performance of your GT.

The AM and Brenspeed tunes will provide roughly 10 more RWHP compared to the FRPP (Bullitt) tune. Additionally, AM and Brenspeed will tweak your tunes to compliment those mods that require a tune and will make changes to suit your needs.

Haven't we discussed this with you before?

Not about the Ford one.

I like my Flo Pro mufflers better so the package really isn't for me. Just worried that a tuner from one of the makers will prevent my stang from passing emissions.

Just make sure you tell the tuner you need an emmissions tune as well...I did not, and am over inspection by 6-8 months trying to get a tune...Mine is obviously not a DD though

stay away from the ford tuner. as nuke stated the gains are better with AM or brenspeed and they will re-tune/tweek in the future if you keep buying parts from them. and you will. we all get bitten by the mod bug once we start.

I'll cosign on staying away from the Ford Racing tuner if you want to maximize your gains. Take a trip to the Shelby section and see my thread about my impressions of the 750HP Whipple S/C kit from FRPP.

I have the FRPP tune and am not happy with it, I ordered a SCT tuner (w/ tunes) from AM. The dyno numbers with the FRPP CAI/tune for me (with Roush extreme cat back exhaust) was 271 RWHP and 291RWTQ.

my 07 frpp 550 hp whipple ho kit put down 469 rwhp 439 torque on a mustang dyno on sept. 24th. that tune was not even matched by my dyno tune. i called ford and they said that tune is completely safe!!!
