Question

In this two points mentioned about the GT, How can you solve both issues:

"The GT exhibits a little more body roll than the GT500, which makes the side-to-side-in-your-seat banging around less intense and more tolerable. Still, the GT would benefit greatly from a more heavily bolstered seat."

How come in Motortrend testing of the GT Brembo VS the M3 both where almost head to head, and on Car and Driver testing, the M3 left far behind the GT. Also somewhere else I readed that the '11 Shelby GT500 was even on performance with the Corvette Grand Sport, but here also the GS left the GT500 far behind. Apparently the only one that shined was the V6 in the same league as the 370-350 from Nissan.

because different cars perform better in different tests, its not rocket science.

different cars. different tests. different days. different weather. different drivers with different capabilities.

Mostly the driver.

You can! How far are you from Road America in Elkhard Lake? One of the best race tracks in the country. Ever hear of High Performance Driving Events? I.e: take my street car to a race track and go as fast as I want. All you need is Helmet, a good attitude and lots of gas (you get about 8MPG on the track).

PM me if interest, I can tell you all about driving on race tracks.

Not far at all. Maybe 1 1/2 hr. In fact, last year I drove a parade lap during Mustang Days.

40 mph doesn't quite cut it though.

I did drive Bristol flat out during the Hot Rod Power Tour in 2009. THAT was fun. Kind of....round though.

Yep...for all those reasons. Also Randy Pobst (one of the top sports car drivers in the world) did the MotorTrend test. The BMW is an easier car to drive. The Mustang more of a beast. But to a driver like Randy that doesn't matter. To most drivers it does. My guess is most drivers would be faster in the M3 but for a pro...they are pretty equal.

Per Ford website:

2010 GT manual 3,401 lbs auto 3,454 lbs
2011 V6 manual 3,453 lbs auto 3,473 lbs

I put our 10 GT auto on the truck scales & it weighed 3,400 lbs.
