I like that setup you got there. Only problem I see with that is just from looking at it, based on the length and the big Navi on the end, seems like there would be alot of stress being placed on the socket.

Neat mount incorrigible. But you forgot to add a link as to where to get one.

I like that better than this one I found yesterday. Your's would mount it higher and in better line of sight.

I don't like baddog671's mount....Those are easy to find at Best Buy. It covers the A/C vent for the driver. In FL. you want that vent unobstructed.

Here is another post in the same thread with a link and some warnings.

I notice no issues with stress on the socket. The newer Garmins are all plastic and quite light. The only downside is it does vibrate a bit on rough roads, however, the convenience can't be beat. I keep it in the center console and can plug it into the socket and be up and running in about 15 seconds. No cords to deal with.

I have a GPS included in my headunit so thats not what your looking for, I know some people have their gps hanging from the rearview mirror. Seems like a good spot, right at eye level.

Here's the link.

Note that you might want to read all the Amazon reviews on this product.

No need for one of those hideous mounts if you are using a skinny GPS like a Garmin Nuvi. Just set it in front of the gear shifter and in front of the HVAC controls on an anti-skid pad. Keep it in the console store when you are not using it.

I believe the '10 is just like the '11. You can get them either way: with all vent the round or the two vents closest to the car centerline rectangular.
