HID Headlights question
If the headlights are aimed properly and have the proper coatings then highbeam them back.
when I first got my 08 with OEM HID's I would ocassionaly get highbeamed. Haven't for the last year or so, so maybe people realize that regular beams are just that bright now.

Peoples eyes will naturally gravitate to lights that are above the typical older 3500K lamps. Lamps above 5000K can easily be perceived (especially in older people) as high beams since the brain initially perceives the color of the hotter temperature as more intense.
Not that those of you running 6000K and over bother me in particular but my idea of getting a grip on those lamps being an annoyance means a tighter grip on that 18" breaker bar under the seat.

I only changed the bulbs, I didn't mess with the headlight housing. So they should be aligned in the factory default location.
My HIDs are 55W 4300K. Purchased from retro-solutions. And yes Todd is very helpful.

Also, my headlights have caps in front of them. At least that is what I think they are. They are the factory headlamps.

It's hard to say. But your 55 watt HID's are brighter than your OE 55 watt halogens, not even taking the change in temperature into consideration. I don't know enough about HID's to say that a 55 watt HID is equivalent to the 65 watt OE high beams.
I believe the '05s and some of the '06s have the OE caps over the lamps. That should help oncoming drivers.
If you're not being stopped by the cops, then don't sweat it until some guy that looks like me jumps out of an alloy '07 with an 18" breaker bar! LOL!
