I don't know for a fact, but on the chrysler vehicles I work on information like VIN/model/model year/mileage are stored on a number of modules.

Is it even possible on these cars? Also, what do you mean "to much miles"?

I just called a local Speedometer shop about setting the mileage on my newly installed GT500 cluster ... they said $150 and a couple minutes of time and they would do it.

are they setting to a value you told them or what the car has stored?

Yeah, I agree! When I hear stuff like this that IS illegal, I see Red Flags every where!

OP, so what your Mustang has too many miles on it. By changing the numbers on the cluster is being deceiving to others and possibly a potential buyer who thinks they are getting a Mustang with less miles. Shame on you!
Making a note to myself, "Never buy vehicles from the Netherlands!"

has nothing to do with it,
i had a lot of people doing test drives with my stang ,because i had problems with my supercharger ...because the dont know about it in The Netherlands.......so ....
But in The Netherlands it is not ilegal ...and just wonder if the guys were right in the Netherlands by saing it is done in 5 min.....

The peolple who drives mustangs in my country are really a big Fan and supporters of the USA cars.....because there are not so much of USA cars here.....

So you had people "testing" your car and you just figure those miles don't count?? This IS shady as heck and I don't think this forum is intended for this purpose.

They will set it to what I tell them ... which is 5410 + the mileage on the SVT cluster ... which only had 4 miles on it ....

The Ford ECM is not storing mileage ...

FYI ... I'm not going to pay $150 to do it ... if I ever sell the car I'll have it set to the proper mileage then ... but have now reason to do it now ...
