Default New Wheel/Tire combo for 2011 GT/CS

Hello,
I'm thinking about getting new wheels. I currently have the stock GT/CS wheels that are 245/45/19 if I'm not mistaken. I'd like a new set of wheels that have roughly the same circumference but are wider. I don't like how my current wheels sit so deep inside the fenders. I prefer my wheels and tires to come out almost flush with the fender. I don't want to use spacers either. I'd like either 18s or 20s but when I look at places like Cruizin Concepts and American Muscle, their wheel and tire packages almost always end up having a circumference at least an inch smaller than my current cars and this would only give it more fender gap, something I don't want.
Thanks for any suggestions or pictures.

is that your Mustang in your avatar?
if it's black, i would suggest black rims with a polished lip to match the color of your Mustang.
I personally prefer 18's over 20's on the S197.
i've had both 18 and 20" rims and i like the ride and the look of the 18's better, but thats just me.
i like the fatter side wall of the 18's and the smoother ride that the fatter sidewalls give.
also gives a more old school look vs the 20's
at cruizin concepts, and i believe AM too, you can choose different size tires to go with rim/tire package.
just PM cruizinconcepsmike or somebody that's on this website about it, or call them or AM.
you should also look at OEwheels, they are a sponsor on here too. great prices.

Thanks and yes that is my car. The only reason I was considering chrome is because I had black wheels with a silver lip on my black 07 and just wanted to change it up. I'm certainly not ruling out black though. I am actually leaning towards 18s. I'm not a huge fan of 20s, it just seems weird to go from a 19s to 18s. That's just me being weird though I guess. Thanks for the input. Good to know I can get different tire sizes other than the ones offered in the package deals.

If you're not going with a very wide tire, you can get wheels with a smaller offset to bring the wheels/tires out a bit from the inside of the well. But if you want more than a dozen or so millimeters then you'probably wnat spacers. I personally don't like the idea of using spacers but if you must...

If you don't already have one, here's a tire size calculator that I like using for comparisons. It's not the one I prefer but I don't have that one bookmarked here at work. http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/infoTireMath.dos

And I think you'll be happy with the additional sidewall that the 18's will give you. It's a much sexier look than those 30's and 35's.

Thanks, definitely not going to use spacers. I had 9" DD Bullets on my 07 with 275s all around and the fit was perfect. I just want to replicate the stance I had with that car but I think the 10s and 11s require a different offset.
