I've seen this locally, and a lot of vids. But, I swear I would never understand the cone setup and would have no idea which way to turn. Even after studying a track for a while, at speed, I'd be lost. LOL

That being said, I'm SOO glad glad I got my '06 GT!!

No turbo lag, just instant power. And that's what's it really all about, don't you think?
agreed, imports do handle better as a whole. the top cars here are miata's, and honda's.
but there are a couple Camaro's and an Impala that do really well, but their suspension/tires are not stock.

I got to ride in one of the instructors Nissan GTR, and that thing was super fast!
before i rode in it, i didn't think it was all that. boy was i wrong.
i have a new respect for those imports.

next race in february, i'm going to put the hammer down. no more Mr. slow mustang!
if that dont work, i will up the ante to run my 2007. i got 200 more hp in 2007 than the 2000, so we'll see how that makes a difference.

this is from a friend's fox body, he goes faster than me.
yesterday it was co-driven by him and another friend bc my other friends Mach 1 had tire issues.
but he has some interesting camera angles on his vids.

from this past weekend. these are the fun runs which dont count.
these are still in my New Edge bc i'm trying to save my 07 for the straight track.
my heat runs sucked that day. 3 out of 4 runs i got DNF'd bc i went off the course.
these runs were a little better.

That's cool....it's tough to compete with the ricers on a small/very tight course....the ricers wheel base is so short it's almost impossible to compete with a stang's longer wheel base. Your gonna have to really drift the heck out of it around that course. It's all about the fun!!!! The weather looks fantastic in Hawaii!!!

had a test and tune yesterday
the track design wasn't as technical as it usually is, allowing for a little more throttle.
i'm still learning how late i can brake and how early i can throttle and how much throttle my setup can handle.
also my steering hand-shuffling needs work, and taking my right turns too wide.
all in all it was a productive test and tune. and was a lot of fun.
some pics from the last race and with my new door magnets

the first one is my last run, the 2nd one is my friend Rick that works with me and got me started in this SCCA racing., driving my Mustang. and the rest are other people in our club and the last is a Camaro that runs in our class.

Looks good man, but you still have a lot of grip left in the corners. Those tires will scream like crazy long before they let go. Heres a video of me doing an auto-x type event. You can hear the tires screaming most of the time I'm cornering, and I was holding back due to those concrete walls being there
