Thats the tutorial on how to fix it... I tried and failed.
If I might ask, how exactly? New motors simply didnŽt function? Or actual FUBARian replacement scenario? If the former, likely just the regulator that supplies power for usually a couple at a time was just dead, or the IC controlling the output. Usually faaaaar more likely then 2 or more motors dieing at the exact same time. Gradual/fast fade of another soon, ya, more than 1 at the exact same time, not so much.

And out of curiosity, I assume since this was a new one you had to turn in the old busted one eh for the core charge? IŽd take the other one for a few bucks, as IŽd be curious just to diagnose it, and for down the road spare parts since I have a 4-gauge as well.

Wayne, my solder gun didn't get hot enough to remove the existing solder even with a desoldering braid... So I couldn't get the contacts of the motor out of the cluster itself... Another lesson to have the right tools, pretty much you need a nice soldering iron not a radioshack one like I got...

Might actually be a good thing, as with 2 dead at the same time it's unlikely the steppers themselves are bad.

how much did a new cluster cost you? there are a few guys that will replace the motors for you and all you do is send them your cluster... my speedo went out and I am probably just going to send mine to get it fixed... after shipping and everything its about $70

Also cause I don't have any other gauges and I need the one that does work... The temp gauge so I can keep an eye on the blower lol.
