Nothing short of an AWD/4WD with properly equipped tires and a skilled driver could have "safely" handled what hit Georgia. It was straight ice. I grew up in Detroit and drove through bad weather so I'm not new to winter driving. GA is not prepared for this kind of weather and the streets were proof of it. I'm in Minnesota right now and they have twice as much snow as GA, but the roads are 10 times better.

As far as FWD versus RWD, that doesn't matter anywhere near as much tires and skill.

Canīt, like the bum...er, buns too much.

Although, I might have been born in the south, I could seriously do without the country music. But the place makes up for it.

My Stang has been in the garage for the past three weeks. I drive my front wheel drive Suzuki Forenza.

I drove my 2010 GT threw about 7-8 inches of unplowed roads in my development for 8 blocks. It handled ok, just had to take it very slow. I have the stock Perellis was wondering if anyone can recommend a good all season tire (I prefer Michelins).

There is an Atlanta car cruise-in every Saturday AM that I often attend. Yesterday we were talking about my snow and ice adventure and how well the Mustang GT limited slip (a S clip design) worked compared to older types like GM Positraction type limited slips. We decided to do a test to see just how well it worked.

The parking area still had ice patches so we put one wheel on ice and one on dry payment. Then we made normal starts and fast starts to test. It seemed to work as well as my older type limited slip differentials. Or at least I was able to start with limited slippage of the wheel on the ice.

Michelins make the X-Ice studless winter tires. I too am a Michelin buyer on almost all my tires. I did buy the Bridgestone Blizzak WS70 this time and they are great. Never bought the X-Ice, but watch the video on Tire Rack comparing the two and make your own decision before purchasing.

Sorry, I kid

LOL...no, I didn't tow the trailer while it was snowing!! I admit, the Mustang is not the preferred vehicle for towing and/or hauling, however it did tow very well for what it is. Even going up some hills, it had enough power to chug along without any problems.

Regards to Mustangs and snow. I understand some like to keep they're stored for the winter, however I myself, like to drive mine 365 days a year. If I was planning to keep my Mustang for a very long time, I would store it for the winters as well. However, I only plan to keep mine 4 or 5 years. This being the case, I drive it as much as possible.

While a very good point I may add that 'common sense' is by far the biggest equalizer !
