Help 12 OBD2 codes all at once?
Hey guys, new to the forum here, but I have an issue. A couple of weeks ago, I dusted off the hoses and engine, and later that day I had twelve trouble codes hit...in a nutshell, I have had a check engine light on for two weeks since cleaning under the hood. Affected systems are the O2 Sensor circuits, Cam Position Sensor, Evap solenoid and valve control circuits. Any ideas? I don't think I should have 12 trouble codes hit all at once.
Thanks

I would also consider the possibility that when you did the cleaning you damaged some electrical connections somehow.
Many people on the forums say you can hose and clean your engine with no problems but I happen to be one of the people that don't think that.
I use a rag and water to clean my engine. Sometimes degreaser.
But I will NEVER put a hose to my engine. EVER.
I will use a wet rag and rub the thing down so I can make sure I don't hit anything that will not enjoy being exposed to water or anything else.

I don't use a hose for that, no way. I used a rag and some turtle wax protectant for the hoses and some of the plastic. I tried to go easy on it. What are the odds that its just a crappy fuel filter doin all this? I haven't had the chance to change it yet and my car has 55,000 on it.

Recheck all the connectors...
PS. I won't recommend that you spray water in the engine bay. Just look at the Spark Plug holes in the head, no way to get the water out. In addition, the wiring looms aren't wrapped properly, so water will sit in your wiring looms....

A dirty fuel filter would give your performance a noticeable hit if it was the cuplrit. How does the car run overall, Same?
I +1 on a loose wiring harness/connector somewhere. I'd trace the wire going from the Cam Sensors to their main trunk and from there, as far back as you can get.

Art has a good point. Different cleaners and silicone sealants can throw gobs of codes due to the odor they expel. Clear the codes and see what resets now. It may of been the cleaner, maybe wetness in a harness somewhere? Anyways there has been plenty of time to have those smells dissipate or moisture to evaporate. I'd do the reset and recheck first and go from there.
