Water inside the 07

Water inside the 07
So here we go. I dont have time to look around or fix it today otherwise i would just poke around myself but i have an issue. I got lots of rain down here in FL today and when i got into my car there was a huge puddle on the passenger side of the floor. Its was not a small amount of water from say a leaky windsheild wiper seal, it was a lot. More water poured in when i started driving so obviously it is pooling somewhere before it spills in. Its coming in under the dash but i cant tell exactly where because nothing is pouring in unless i move the car. My thoughts are that i might have one of the draining passageways under the windsheild/in the cowl that are plugged up with leaves (i park under a tree every day.) Anyone have any idea how to unplug it or what else the problem might be? Should i take the plastic guard off of the top of the coul or can i pull it out from under the car? My 72 had a problem like that but the inside of the cowl is easier to get to on that car. Any help would be great. It feels like even afer a 35 year gap both of my mustangs have the same problems lol

Hugely common problem on this generation, unfortunately...

There are many TSB's/threads on this issue. Just did a quick search, you'll have to look through these later to find the one you need. Put towels in the back to soak it up for now. Get it fixed soon. If you have a car cover and it is supposed to rain put it on. This can fry electrical components located down there.

There are 2 main paths for water on the passenger side; one of which is detailed in the Water Leak TSB (common knowledge). The other is related to clogging of the drain hole in rubber "boot" below the location of the cabin air filter. This will allow water to back up and enter thru the filter and ductwork.
Pull the cover off the passenger side kickpanel and feel above the SJB for moisture. Any water in that area is TSB related.

Thanks for the tip on the plug Nuke that was def the problem, i knew it was not a leaky grommet, it poured in so i knew it was pooling and i thought the cowl was plugged. i was just not sure where the plug was (top or bottom.) just took off the cover reached in and pulled a whole mess of leaves out and it freed up the drain. Thanks again bud
