Default maximum tire width

Anyone know the maximum tire width I can put on the rear of my 2011? I have 285's right now on 18x10 rims and I still have traction problems when I take off fast.

I doubt going any wider will give you any more traction. What type of launch or "take off" are you doing?

Wider tires don't equal better traction, with same compound, a smaller tire will give same traction.

You can put a 315/35 on a 20"x11". You don't want to go over 295 on a 10" rim.

i have 295/45's on a 10" wide rim with 42 offset
you should try better tires if traction is an issue.

Should be able to go up to a 315/40/18....I know this isn't a 2011, but should work the same.

You can fit up to a 325 width tire with the right offset and removal of the bump stop brackets.

there are gt500's out there running well over 500rwhp that dont have anything bigger than 285's on the back. Try some better rubber, like already mention the NT05's. You can also try some LCA's but the bigger the tire doesnt always mean more traction.
