Just picked up my GT a week ago. I live in CT and we've gotten 56 inches of snow in the past month. I have 200 lbs of sand in the back with 4 Blizzaks and I haven't had an issue.

I'm in Ottawa Canada where we get lots of snow and I drive mine all year round no problem. I do not have snow tires and the all season p zero nero tires do fine, I put a bundle of shingles in the trunk for a little extra weight and she drives like a charm.
