Question Gear Problem?

I hope I am posting this in the right area, if not I am sorry. My husband has a 2007 Ford Mustang and we don't know whats wrong with it. For the last week every time we start the car and go to put it in gear it won't go. So we tried to put it in any gear for that matter and it wont go. I am thinking the clutch is burnt out or is getting there =( But I've heard that a manual won't go into gear for other reasons too. So I was wanting to get a taste of what ya'll might think about it. Thanks

Sounds like a clutch problem to me.

Could be a bad pilot bearing too. The pilot bearing sits in the back of the flywheel, and the transmission input shaft rests in it. If that bearing goes bad and siezes, it causes the tranny input shaft to spin even if the clutch is pressed. So the tranny won't go into gear.
It's either that or the clutch. Either way, likely the tranny will have to come out to see what the problem is.

Does the clutch pedal FEEL any different than when things were working normally? I'll also assume clutch based on no other info.
