Default Quick octane question?

I have an 07 roush stage 3 and It's almost completely out of gas. I'm at home and I only have 112 octane. Would it be a bad idea to put this in or would the car just run better?

Put a gallon in, drive to station, fill up

First off, is the can (5 gallon I assume) of 112 open or still sealed ? for if it's open and depending how long it's been opened you don't have near 112 octane. If it's sealed then IMO it makes more sense to get a 'jerry can' with a couple of gallons of gas, put it in your car and go fill it up. keep the 'sealed' 112 for a day when it's really needed !

How far away is a gas station? why not just drive it there and fill up? Finally, and I'm sorry in advance, but is there anyone else out there besides me that finds this unintelligent or has a pet peeve about people running out of gas.....that is why we have gas gauges after all

No, you're not the only one. It's hard on a car running it down to fumes all the time. My 17 year old ran his out 3 times within a few months. Last time, I made him walk home.... He keeps a minimum half tank in it now.

Unleaded won't hurt a thing. Leaded, go find something else.

Other than being a HUGE waste of money, running 112 shouldn't hurt anything.

You're a good dad....mine would have done the same thing to me. Mine rarely goes below 1/4 tank before it's filled

This response is a little late but the 112 isn't used any more it actually normally went into my dads drag car. He now uses q16 or something so it would have went to waste if I didn't use it. The car ran fine and I normally am always paying attention but I didn't have my wallet. I left it at home for some reason and thought I could make it home and back but didn't want to risk it.
