Default Ford Financing ?'s

Okay so if you look down a few posts you can see where I posted about buying a 2011 5.0. Does anyone know any good or bad about the Ford Financing? Is it a regular auto loan, or is it like a credit card type loan like what the powersports dealers use (Yamaha, Suzuki etc)? It looks like they can get me a better interest rate than USAA (4.9% fixed). If I was to look on my credit report would it show up as a loan or a revolving account? I just don't know if they're going to try and charge me any extra yearly fees or anything like that. I'd rather stick with USAA because they have been great to me over the years and I know that there will be no random fees or anything like that. If Ford's is a regular auto loan and the cheaper interest rate I might go with them though. Any input on Ford Financing?

Normal loan. And like any consumer should do, compare rates. If you are perfectly happy with USAA, then keep it simple and use them.
I just got something in the mail from them basically saying its time to buy a car again, lol. I got 0% when I bought the 06.

Thanks for the info! I've pretty much decided to stick with USAA. I'm happy to still have a low interest rate of 4.9% and know that I'm not going to get screwed with extra hidden charges later on down the road.

No extra fees, just a normal loan. You can think that a bank has been "good to you" all you want, but they are just another bank.

I got 0% on my car through ford financial, coming up on one year of ownership and everything works really well.

Same here, 0% on a five year note, no issues so far.

FWIW, when I find I cannot get 0% financing I go through my regular bank. I've been with them for decades, it's a local bank, and they really go to the mat to get me the best rates. I also get a half percent premium through them for an auto withdrawl from my checking account.

I'll give it a second look I suppose. I just didn't know if it was shady like other companies financing that I have been through. Thanks for the info.

financed six cars over the years with ford, hands down the best financing firm i have ever used. Once lost a job years and years ago and instead of saying sorry borrow from mom or send the car back, they let me skip two payments to give me time to find a job and get paid. and if they are runnign any 1.9% or 0% offers you ahve to use Ford credit to get those. i think i saw 1.9% for up to 72 months online for 11 GTs.

1.9% for 72mo? I guess I probably should have waited before I bought my car then. At the time I picked up my car, there was no such thing. They have the 0% 36mo, a 5% 60mo and that was it. At least today they are offering better loan conditions.
