Default How do I find out info about my engine? 2,3 or 4 valves

How do I go about finding more information about my engine? I'm just curious. I have a 2006 GT. I see people talking about 2, 3 or 4 valve engines for supercharges for example. I think I must have the 4.6. But do I look at the VIN then research that?

Usually 2V,3V, and 4V are referred that was as a modular motor... 05-10 had a 3V.

It's called google bro, but if you have a 2006 gt it's a 4.6l.

2V, 3V, and 4V refer to the number of valves per cylinder in the engine. Your 2006 GT has the 4.6L 3V.

This the 3V head / two intake valves and one exhaust valve per cylinder:

Sure, but I could never buy anything without first, learning about its basics at least.
Would freak me out.

Right. I know very little about my car. This is a hobby that I just started into about 3 years ago. I've got 3 Mustangs now. '66 with a newly installed 302. '06 with some fancy stripes. '08 Shelby that we just got this week.

So, the wife took the Shelby to a car show and someone laughed that it didn't have a supercharger. That made me think about upgrades to the '08 and '06. I'm trying to judge the value to us and the cost related to our budget.

I don't know much about the '08. It is a real Shelby from Las Vagas. So, I gues my next question is: is it also a 3 valve? I don't know yet if we are serious about adding a supercharger. I've seen prices around $6,000. Some suggested thta it would cost over $800 to install, tune and dyno.
