So, the wife took the Shelby to a car show and someone laughed that it didn't have a supercharger. That made me think about upgrades to the '08 and '06. I'm trying to judge the value to us and the cost related to our budget.

I don't know much about the '08. It is a real Shelby from Las Vagas. So, I gues my next question is: is it also a 3 valve? I don't know yet if we are serious about adding a supercharger. I've seen prices around $6,000. Some suggested thta it would cost over $800 to install, tune and dyno.
I wouldn't worry about the jack-asses laughing. Sounds like you have a 2008 Shelby GT?

Do you want a supercharger for more power and overall car enhancement or to appease others?

I attached a Shelby store link with the correct Shelby SC. Not all Shelbys came with SC.

There are less expensive SC available. Good luck

Yes, that is a Shelby GT and it has a 3 valve 4.6L engine. The Shelby GT500 comes with the supercharger and it is a 4 valve 5.4L engine. They are 2 totally different cars. The morons that were laughing probably had no idea what they were looking at in the first place so I wouldn't worry about it. If I were you, I would certainly not feel obligated to purchase a supercharger just because some azzhat retard made a stupid comment that showed his own ignorance. People like that don't deserve a second thought from you.

.. When I first got into Mustangs, I thought the S197s still had 5.0s and the 427R actually was a 427 lol
