Well I had 3.31s then switched em out for 3.73s and holy crap... With Bama street tune i still get between 25-29 mpg highway. I was laughing my butt off when I looked down and it said 29.8... Then I saw a porsche and put that mpg back down where it belongs around 25 lol... But yeah gears... awesome...

+1 for GEARS. Then just start saving for a blower/turbo.

 

Gears FTW!!! I recently made a trip to sc twice in two weeks from florida. Running at 80mph on cruise control, I was at 20mpg with 4.10's and frpp hotrods...with my other mods...Not bad at all if you ask me. Next mod will be headers, then probably pullies and CMDP's.

 

Not a good move. I lost so much low end when I did that, its horrible. Gears are going in this month.


OP, do gears BEFORE cams. LT's on their own are still nice.

 

I did 410s for my car and yes very nice. The car screamed through every gear. Plus I could still get 24 mpg on the highway. I added Detroit rocker cams and an H pipe and what a noticeable gain in performance up top. I had hardly any low end loss. Now I have a Saleen supercharger. The Saleen and 410s r fun!!! Still get a hair over 20 on the highway
