OP, you are in the wrong church if you are preaching MPG over performance and cool...

Go buy a Honda if you need order and neatness in your life, if you want to LIVE your life...go Mustang!

I get 23 in the city. Not sure about highway mpg as I mostly drive around town. The on-board dash info says I average 26 mpg. Can't complain as it gets waaaaay better gas mileage than my Conversion Van with a 5.4.

I just filled up this morning but I have the 4.6L. I drive about 85% city and 15% highway and I got about 20 MPG on 87 octane. I also do have quite a heavy foot...

You are comparing apples to oranges here. The Accord is a nice car but you're looking at a family sedan compared to a muscle car. Seem a little bit confused on your wants and needs.

They are two completely different cars. What are you wanting out of a vehicle?

Seriously Will3212, you come onto a Mustang forum and compare it to a Honda Accord.....what do you really expect us to say?
It's your $$, buy what you want. I personally like buying American Brand/Made cars....especially Fords. I don't care for Honda, Toyota etc....they all look like "cookie cutter" cars to me. I like things that stand out and for me, the Mustang is definitely a head turner!
