Airaid or K&N Cai

When uploading the stock tune, are you sure you followed the instructions on the tuner perfectly? When I first uploaded my tune I didn't follow it exactly (when to turn the key and all that), so it didn't upload correctly and idled terribly.

Again, who wrote the tunes? I think you're tossing the baby out with the bathwater. A stand-alone CAI is near useless. If you didn't get your tunes from Bama/AM or Brenspeed, then I see your problem.

I like the Airaid, but then I am a little bias. ;-)
Even with the Airaid CAI or any other Non tuneable CAI, you will need a custom tune to fully utilize the CAI's abilities and add real performance gain. Without the tune, you may only get (3-5) HP gain.
I would suggest requesting a new tune, which can be emailed to you. You should be able to download the file and then upload onto your SCT tuner. Once the file is on your SCT tuner, then upload to your car.

I would question the tuner versus the combination.
Brenspeed or AM (American Muscle) are good to go!
