Default CAI Intake Issues

I have a K&N CAI on my 07 GT. I've been having a problem recently with the intake working it's was loose from the rubber adpter to the throttle body, which of course caused the car to run like crap. When I put it back on, I ensure that the band clamps holding it in place are in the correct position and are fully tightened. It's happened a couple of times over the last 3-4 months and maybe one other time a couple of years ago. Anyone else had this problem withtheir CAI, and if so, any suggestion that might help? I've thought of maybe putting a thin film of RTV on the intake before I slide it into the rubber adapter, but am leery about doing this. Thanks!

If your K&N is a plastic tube you can use a small flathead sheetmetal or woodscrew,
drill a small hole under where band clamp goes and install screw, this will work
as a locating pin and keep tube from slipping out and you don't have to worry
about overtightening clamp and distorting tube.
I've been running this way for +3yrs w/C&L Racer and hasn't moved,
did it at TB and MAF end.

EDIT: After seeing Nuke comment I'll clarify.
I don't have any screws going into metal TB or MAF tube,
only thru coupling sleeve and plastic intake tube.
Never have had a problem with coupling coming off TB or MAF tube.

I've read a few, rare cases where folks have had the tubes/clamps slip off of the TB. I believe it can be due to both overtightening and undertightening plus aligning the clamp properly on the TB. If you feel as if you're tightening it well, then back off just a tad and see what happens. If you feel like you've treated it with kids gloves, give it hell.
