+1 on the Laser Interceptor being the top choice in active laser jamming.

This is what I was talking about:

Notice the second display, there are 8 different signal strengths displayed simultaneously.

The vertical bars each represent a separate signal, it's showing 2 Ka, 2 K, and 4 X bands simultaneously. The bars' height represents the strength. Very useful!

Incorrect. The center display appears to be showing signal strength for a Ka band alert, a K band alert and an X band alert.

Actually, I was right. Each of those vertical bars to the right of the respective bands is a variable height signal strength bar.

I received an Escort Solo Passport cordless detector as a gift.....and what a wonderful gift it is!!

Frontwards and backwards detection, laser and radar.......No messy cords, operates off of two AA batteries, just suction it on and go!

It has saved me more than once...more than ten times...

I'm pretty new to this but I've done some research and I've seen a few in action. Escort seems to be very well trusted among most people, I've seen a hidden 9500ix in action and the window mounted 9500ix and they both are very quiet. My dad had a 96 dodge viper and I remember all you could hear was that stupid radar detector going off all the time. I am going to purchase the passport IQ it seems to have everything you could ever need to be mounted on your dash.

I think an added benefit to the IQ is the fact that it really doesn't even look like a detector! Good choice I say!
