I read them. Pretty vague. I stand by my skepticism until I no longer have a reason to.

Agreed.I am not disputing the car caught fire but on first post,She said it had been 3months.Now postings on this have been going on for 2 months.I for one do not believe this could drag on for over 5 months.
For me it would not of went more than a month and that's stretching it.
I believe there is another side of the story that isn't being told. Not to be disrespectful or mean, that's just has been my feeling from the start

I think it could easily go that far. Remember that BMW story I was talking about a few pages back? It's been nearly a year and they're STILL fighting over who's going to pay to fix it.

When fingers point and red tape gets in the way, time drags on and on.

I don't see why she is even having to deal with any of this. This is why you have car insurance. The insurance company should be repairing/replacing the car. Then THEY can deal with FORD or anyone else that they feel is liable for the damages.

Time for a new insurance company. Especially as you can bet your ***, she is still paying Full coverage on a car that the insurance company knows is NOT being driven.

OP, can you give us any updates? Even if it's generic...like "lawyer filed lawsuit and it'll be a while" or just what step of the process you are in.
