It's hard to avoid approaching the rev limiter in second...it wants to keep going! It took me a while to shift properly at WOT in second gear. After 4000rpm, it feels like a rocket and it's difficult to stay on task and watch the tach. It's the reason I got louder exhaust; with the windows up, there was no feedback that I was getting close to the limit. I'm even thinking about installing a shift light. This car just wants to go...and go...

Aint that the truth. On the new 5.0L Coyotes, once you hit 3K RPMs, the engine revs very fast towards redline; the tach needle climbs like a rocket and it is very hard not to hit the rev limiter once you are turning above 6K RPMs.

Just gotta memorize what the engine sounds like at 7k rpm, then shift when it's at that note. Easier said than done, but saves a lot of time looking at the tach.

6800? Seriously? With my old tuner I set my rev limiter right on the factory redline. I should have my new Bama SCT tuner in a couple of days. What would be the highest it should be set at? I'd like to keep the engine in one piece, so whats the best setting for the limiter?

What does dumping the clutch mean exactly?

Revving to high RPMS while the clutch is down and then just letting off it AKA burning out and getting your *** sideways.
