So... Boss 302?

No it's not. Don't hate. You guys are trying to make it seem like the Boss murders the GT500 in handling and it clearly doesn't. They're so close that it's literally a driver's race. That's all I'm saying. Has nothing to do with the fact I own a GT500.

I'm not arguing that the Boss murders the GT500, but my point is that because the 500 puts more power down to the road, the boss has to be making the time up on the track from somewhere. It's not the 444hp engine...so I'm fairly certain it's going to be in how it handles the road. It's not to say that the GT500 doesn't handle well too, it's just that the Boss 302 I would venture to say handles better.

It depends what you want, personal preference really.

I get what you're saying, but I can't agree that the Boss really outhandles the GT500. The GT500 just overpowers the chassis. Power slides are fun to do and look at, but don't help track times. I don't think it's so much the Boss made up time as it is the GT500 lost time.

A few seconds? The Boss was only .5 second quicker through the slalom. So I could flip the script and say a car that weighs around 200 pounds less and has a purpose built track suspension was only .5 second quicker through a slalom than the pig of a car GT500. Do you firmly agree w/ that, pdonket?

both are great Mustangs.
you cant go wrong with either one.
but they are designed for different driving.
the Boss is designed to be a road course track car that is street legal.
the GT500 is a street car that has a lot of power. not a race car.
put enough money into either one, and you can end at what you want.
SC a Boss and you'll have a fast track car.
do some supension mods and tires on the GT500 and you'll have a powerful street car that can handle.
personally i wouldn't buy either one. I'm a GT guy, plain and simple.
i'll mod it and be proud when it beats up on higher priced specialty models.

Its personal preference, do you want to man handle your car trying to get every bit of HP down or do you want something a bit more easily controlled so you can focus on hitting every apex?
