Default Bent axle or wrecked diff?

Long story short I had an incident last week and damaged the rear end. I'm not exactly sure what happened but I was at a racing event and I spun out doing a 360 and ended up rolling backwards. To try to save it I caught reverse to keep the momentum going in my direction of travel and there was several grimacing noises from the rear of the car and the dash lit up like a Christmas tree...TC light, ABS light, check engine.
There was vibration that sounded like gear whine from the rear end and I managed to get the car home slowly and dismantled her that night. Once opened up I found a damaged bearing and sleeve on the driver's side in the diff....pretty quick fix and I got new bearings pressed on and I did both my rear wheel bearings and axle seals while I was at it.....had the car back on the road the next morning with fresh fluids etc....but the vibration and noise was still there....

Put the car up on the stands again and noticed the driver's side was wobbling slightly so assuming the axle is bent....

Is is possible that the axle is fine and the diff is screwed? What's the possibility that the housing is bent and the axle/diff are fine?

I want to make sure that replacing the axle will solve the problem.

Well, by the fact that its the wheel that wobbles tells me that the axle is bent. If the axle housing was bent you'd probably just notice the wheel sitting at a different angle. That's my opinion at least.

Could you have bent a wheel?

Should have mentioned that. Once I realized it was wobbling I put my drag radials on and the wobble is still there just for the driver's side. Passenger side is good.

Yep....bent axle most likely. The place that pressed the bearing on should have spotted that I would think.

I just took them the differential and my new bearings and said "Please carefully take these off and carefully press these new ones on".
