My tune from bama is also great, 100% satisfied. No one will listen to this blasphemy!

I have dealt with both Bama and Evolution performance. I have the same exact tune from both of them. LTH/CMDP/C&L 93 Tune, the Bama tune comes on alot stronger in the low RPM's, otherwise theres not much difference in SOTP peak power or fuel consumption. I had one problem with my first Bama tune throwing a lean code, and upon contact them, it was resolved very quickly. I have also had a very pleasant experience dealing with Fred at Evo.

I love my bama tune. I will be the first to say that I absolutely trust that bama will always do right by me. That being said, I have heard that bama took pieces of actual shop's tunes and stuck them together to make the tunes for the 2011s. I can assure you my source would not tell me this if he did not honestly believe it, and he is pretty "in the know" about these kinds of things. The issue is that when bama got these tunes to put together, certain parts did not work with other ones too well, and in some cars, it causes problems.

Atleast, that is how I understand it.

Not sure what type of program they use to write these tunes, but traditionally you're just editing tables, so unless they're copying and pasting things over, I doubt they "took pieces" of other tunes.

Even if trusted, I'd take your friend's story with a grain of salt.

What he said. It's not exactly copying and pasting over in a Word doc. lol

Yeah. I mean you can't really look at one of the tables and think "OMG that looks so good lets take that". You put numbers in, fire up the car, drive it, and adjust accordingly. They may have taken base maps and adjusted from there. I did that all the time on my L98. I'd take the tune of a car with similar mods as a starting point to get the car running, and mod from there. I had to do this though as I was putting the system on a vehicle that was originally carb'ed, so I had no stock map to work with.

Da** I wish the New Edges performed like the S197'S when it comes to getting tunes from Bama/Breenspeed...
