So if it was dog food someone had their pet in your car when it was at the dealership and had to stop suddenly I am guessing causing the pet food to fly in the vents.

Seems like someone was joy riding your car while it was being worked on.

I just want them to put a new transmission in it at this point.
Now the car is barely going into reverse too.
I have no idea what they did to the car while it was there but they screwed it up way worse than when I took it in.

Lol at Blacksmoke, no it was Dog Food in the vent, not normal food.
Haha I would have murdered someone.

Oh and another question.
I noticed that in 4th my shift **** shakes a lot under my hand.
Is that normal? It had never done it before.
Just let me know! Its in perfect working order! Only 54k.

Not normal at all...
Won't go in reverse properly, 4th in not smooth anymore.
That tranny needs to be done from scratch by people that know what they're doing this time.
So 2005Redfire6 is your way out if that dealer can't come forth with a new one.
But then again, they'll screw the install as well... you might also need a new pilot bearing.

I am really wanting them to just put a new tranny in or build mine from the ground up. I'm a little ticked off that my transmission was not nearly this bad until I took it in.
I know Ford will help me out with this I just need to get ahold of them.

Now would be time to put that 5.4L in you were talking about earlier....

I had a set of gears put in my car at my local dealership. At 8pm...my car was locked up tight inside of their garage. I could see it through the window. At midnight when I got off work.....it was gone......

When I got it back the next evening, there were foot prints on the backs of the the front seats.....go figure.

I would do the 5.4 now but its under warranty until 98k and it just rolled over 67k today. That sucks, saddleup. I'm thinking rats got into my car I checked over it very carefully today And didn't see anymore damage.

Sorry to hear about this deal Tanner, sucks something wicked to have your ride jacked by a hack.
F that dealership, never returned unless asked very, very nicely.
Report the incident to Ford Co. and pray for mercy. If anything that will be an inspection and rebuild of necessary parts by hopefully non-hacks.
If that doesn't work out, it would be a roadtrip to georgia for a used T5. I personally would feel better with a complete replacement at this point...take it to a different dealership or shop for install.

I would be able to ship it to her it would probably cost around $150 or so though.

how would rats get dog food in the vents?

sounds like some joker had their pet in there
I would demand that it be fully detailed and all vents replaced after that, and cabin filter replaced and all vent ducts vaccumed and sterilized with UV-C light
and if I ever found out whos dog it was they would never pin it on me

dog food in a client's car thats just disgusting
